About Us

A global society of neurosurgeons advancing care through education, collaboration, and innovation.

Our Excellence

Excellence in Pediatric Tumor Surgery

The Society for Pediatric Neurosurgical Oncology (SPNO) was founded with a singular mission: to improve outcomes for children facing brain, spinal, and peripheral nerve tumors through a focused, multidisciplinary approach to surgical care.

While pediatric neurosurgery and oncology continue to grow globally, SPNO addresses a critical gap—there was no society solely dedicated to the surgical challenges and innovations specific to pediatric neuro-oncology. We exist to fill that gap with precision, collaboration, and purpose.
